Family Ties

When I reflect on all I hold dear,
I can think of nothing much better.
Than having a bond with family,
That makes my life more sweeter.

When times are dark and dreary,
When I feel that I am alone.
It is in the midst of family,
That lets me know that I am home.

Whether happy or whatever the mood,
I can always accept a smile.
From my family in a time of need,
To help me go that extra mile.

A family has ties to good and bad times,
Each memory treasured and true.
For all the beautiful times that we share,
Creates a moment to cherish when I am blue.

Many shoulders are there to cry on,
With so many listening ears.
In a family filled with love and protection,
They will comfort my doubts and my fears.

My heart will never be empty,
Precious moments bring tears to my eyes.
Together we grow and stronger we stand,
Nothing can sever my family ties.
