This is a poem that a very good friend of mine wrote. His pen name is M.R. Key Waters and he asked me to post his poem on Triond. He is a wonderful poet and I hope you enjoy his work as much as I do.

The bold eagle famous and idolized over all reproach, a symbol of the elite face of our people to the world; they are our laws and representatives, they are our entertainment and the starlight of our dreams.
Proud eagle the famous and the infamous, the iron mold of our lives and children’s hopes; it claws control more than half the monies of the world, they are the brokers of power and destiny.
Its wings ruling beyond our laws, the masses worship their every act; their beating justified by the fat of their bank account, filled by the pleasure from the wind of their wings.
Principles and morals mere arrows to be clutched as pleased, judicial standards pecked apart by the genocidal idol; the blatant abuse dripping from the strip’ed shield, the power of its muscles is not to carry the unlawful but to wing out in example.
For the mighty bird to survive it must rend the powerful limbless, and the commoner with a touch of olive branch; the danger strikes the nest as our bird sleeps, our symbol dies by the example of those who uphold it.
