…intricate affections.

Oh, but the
Sparsest thought
That perchance
You were mine!
And, those affections
Graced the pages
Traced, the spaces
So intricate
Delicate and fine

Fancifully perfected
In hopeful joy
An innocence to love
A moment to treasure
An impeccable memory refined

Oh, turn back the hands
To half past one,
A tipping quarter to spare
When thoughts carefree
Were all that painted
The anticipatory colors
Of time.
