The years are gone
and we have grown
it is finally time 
that we say our goodbye’s

We made a lifetime of friends
that we will have until the very end
and gained several memories
that we will cherish forever.

Now is the time that we must open new doors
and close the ones that we opened before.
We must go our separate ways 
and try to complete the tasks set before us.

We must step out of our comfort zone
and walk out into the world unknown.
Becoming grown women and men
we must set our dreams and goals before us
and put them to the test
and pick out the one we think is our very best.

So, we thank our Lord
we thank our parents
we thank everyone 
for how our school years have been.

Now is the time for us to depart
for we know we will be in each other’s hearts
so we say farewell to our teachers, 
farewell to our friends,
farewell to each other for the time we had together.

As this poem ends 
so does this chapter in our life that had to begin
so we turn the page and start a new chapter in our life
hoping it will bring us the same 
happiness, friendship, and memories that we had in the past.
