Loss takes its toll on the heart.
Fingertips going numb
So is the thumb
A circulation decrease
Heartbeats’ slowly cease
Inside the fire dims low
Eyes lose their sparkled glow
Drenched by thoughts of tomorrow
Bringing deep heart aching sorrow
Time moved on so, so too fast
Anchors buried deep could not make time last
Each second ticks away
Closer to the day
Relentlessly the minutes rolled
Inside all I could feel, grew stone cold
New horizons look so far away
You know how much I wanted you to stay
The keeper of time beckons
Tick, tick the seconds
A final kiss
It should never have been like this
Why was I left behind?
Is this how cruelty is defined
Tick
Tick
Only the darkness is a friend
Staying around till my end
