A tribute to Marilyn Monroe.

Such a mighty fine looker,
As her fame overtook her,
Hollywood’s rising actress,
Became the elegant temptress,
Despite intriguing Clark Gable,
Sadly, he never felt able,
Leaving behind the ballplayer,
A friend that might just out stay her
At the peak of her reign,
L.A.’s blazing blonde dame,
Achieving great status, even an icon,
Wrapped up with her political python,
Now surely, too much exposure,
Called for absolute closure,
Relations with the President,
Were now reportedly evident,
Clearly nothing was sacred,
Found OD’d, alone and naked,
At least Norman Mailer,
Would surely not fail her,
Posing the question, why did she die?
To both CIA and FBI…
