To President Bush, the 43rd President of the United States of America.

Farewell President Bush they joked you to no prevail
Eight years of dealing with terrorists must have been hell
The new Obama administration waved you and Laura away
Texan suburbanites welcome you to a much better day

They said failed policies helped Obama to win
The country is full of hope did you feel a tinge
Of a new direction you did your best
Being President of the United States is full of stress

So farewell President Bush, it’s been fun
C-Span gave a televised tour of Air Force One
Have they taken your name off your favorite seat?
We all feel like real Americans now we see everything is neat

No more blunders for you to trip on a word
And give comedians a field day, how absurd
There is a new President in town named Barack Obama
Americans are saying yes we can and hope is no longer a promise

Farewell President Bush may see you again at the reunion
With your father, Mr. Carter, Mr. Clinton or maybe sooner
President Barack Obama told Americans to remake America
You did your share Mr. Bush, no more red or blue states, it’s a miracle.
