One final word about the winter season.

             Farewell to Winter

I hate to sound like a spoiled sport,

but I am not the only one like this.

As the winter season finally ends,

we all lined up to say our goodbyes.

*****

With it went the colder temperatures,

the need to turn up the thermostat.

Blankets are still used in the Spring,

you just don’t have to use as many.

****

The sleet and snow are gone for now,

time to put away all your winter wear.

The shovels and snow blowers go also,

they take a break until needed again.

****

As winter took its final bow for this season,

we all gathered around to give it a salute.

Its time to remove plastic from the windows,

servicing air conditioners for the summer time.

***

But in winters wake it left everything a huge mess,

its up to us to pick up the twigs, trash and such.

A time to plant a garden or even a  small flowerbed,

possibly plans to build a new deck onto your house.

***

As the crowd breaks up from winters farewell parade,

we each could be planning our to do list for this Spring.

The Spring breeze is gently blowing through our hair,

mother nature is telling us that Spring is here to stay.

A great way to usher winter out payge, but Spring does mean work not done in the winter montha.Well written, liked the flow of what you wrote.

Well done Payge. Good write. Out with winter and in with spring. The grass is growing, and the birds do sing. The cold winter wind we no longer have to endure, the gentle warm spring air is here for sure. So pull off the coats and put the shorts on, cause we’ve been waiting for spring for oh so long.

I like this Payge looking for when it is warmer for me to go shooting arrows during the hot summer nights. The only downfall is being a gardener I have to work more during this time.
But about the Poem; Straight to the point and descibes the good feeling well.

    Best Wishes

    Tim
