I wish, I want, I must have, all of you – inside and out.

You give me the wings

in which to fly.

You give me the voice

in which to sigh.

Your words give me hope

for a brighter day,

illuminated with color

with no room for grey.

I want to wrap my wings

around you so tight

and not let go until morning light.

You bring pleasure unto my soul,

with such infinite passion,

oh so slow.

I have become obsessed

with the air you breathe,

that supplies to me comfort

unto which I cleave.

A slave of love

is what I have become.

I am in awe of you

down to the last crumb.

The idea of who you are

has electrified my senses,

though the miles between us

are many and far.

I seek your gorgeous face

to touch as if I were blind,

and my fingers to trace.

I long to feel you for the first time

instead of imagining it with my mind.

If only I could hear your voice.

I would give anything to have that choice.

One day, I know that fate will intervene.

The king will come in search of his queen.

    DB…This is a wonderful poem
Written to someone far from your home
A very strong plea for fate to step up to the plate
And in a hurry so you do not have long to wait.
I feel the passionate plea in your voice
Sounds like you have made this guy your choice
With him it sems you like to flirt
Certainly hope you don’t get hurt
It looks like you have him in your sight
In the meantime I enjoy what you write
And that is why I vote – I LIKE

Another wonderfully open poem Barbara. The man you’re writing for is sure to be reading this and wishing the same. Full of dreams and longing….you write so well…
