This is a poem I wrote just days ago…I was inspired by an article I read about a past life memory which is similar to a dream that I had back in college…I’m not sure if it’s my past life surfacing but at that time I met someone whom I had strong connection with…

The afternoon sun sets to rest for the day

leaving the sky with warm glow of red and orange hues

a lovely couple walking down a cobblestone road

their hands are clinched and intertwined

Each step they take is a leap to somewhere

and under the lamp post they settled

soon a melancholic tune filled the air

teardrops fell like rain in May

With a heavy heart they parted,

their hearts, though flaming with love

succumbed and gave in to what was decided

so pure is their love yet it can’t be shown

What they yearn for can’t be bestowed

they found each other to bid goodbye

and in this lifetime that’s what fate desires

but oh how great their love is, I can’t deny!
