About my favorite sweet.

I’ve never had a cavity or a tooth that was sore
Never had what is called a ’sweet tooth’
I leave empty handed from many a candy store
Give me the steak instead of a Baby Ruth

On Halloween, offer me tricks rather than treats
Not to belittle others, it is just not my way
I thought I was a woman that did not crave sweets
Then fate froze me at your candy display

It is said that people get wiser as they get older
I’m happy with where luck has placed him
Just as beauty exists in the eye of the beholder
Sweetness lies in the tongue of the taster

His favorite candy is golden wrapped in a soft and curvaceous veil
It’s spectacular how, when he looks at me, I can feel my heart inhale

My favorite candy walks, and talks, and laughs, and can even sing
I want him to totally realize all the pleasure and joy that he brings

Skin just like cotton candy; it melts in my hand
Aroma combines lavender and spearmint
You: a Ginger Bread Man, Me: a lucky woman
Your sweet heart created the endearment

The sugar you give makes life easy to swallow
Your love intoxicates as much as brandy
Because you inhabit every crevice and hollow
You own the status as my favorite candy
