A Halloween Poem.

Hollowing wind,

 Chilling breeze,

Turn around now,

 Least you freeze.

The house is dark,

The floors, they creak,

A dog near by bark,

You run to the street.

Town lights go out,

You spin about,

Steps grow near,

You fill with fear.

Now they are here,

Dressed in black,

Close enough to see,

Your body goes slack.

Lights come back on,

In your hand is a stone,

You look here and there,

But the street is bare.

You run, you hide,

Somewhere inside,

Your heart beats fast,

This night won’t last,

As hours pass,

The sun will rise,

This fear of darkness,

Will then die.

nice piece. I fear darkness when alone.
