I feel very deeply for my hat. We’re friends. Don’t judge me.

You know how I feel about hats.

The gentle way in which each one pats,

The symbols and names and pictures of cats,

A simple brim hides the nest for rats.

Fedora, oh fedora; You are much too kind.

You cover my hair, but leave space for my mind.

No pain on my head to make my teeth grind.

A cute little top, with the inside lined.

I hope I find more like you for my head.

The prettiest bow has been stitched on in red.

A frown fills my face when I go to bed,

For now, my head and my pillow must wed.

Goodnight, Fedora.
