When another writer feeds off of your idea.

Shared my thought

Shared my idea

Spoke about it on a social and public outlet

To see it rest elsewhere on the same day

Never steal an idea a writer has,

Will keep my ideas private now

Why would a writer do that to another writer?

Did you want a loss of respect from your peers?

All of that to write about flock also?

I mentioned social browser on Digg and that I had an article submitted

To have you lunch on my words as you always do

To see you submit an article about it right away

Tsk Tsk, writers like you need to feed off the ideas of others

Feeding on our words, feeding on our ideas, is like feeding on our brains

Tip: Keep your ideas private to other writers and only share them

With those you trust.

You made a very wonderful point at the end of your poem, ideas that you do not want to remain private should never be publicly shared; once publicly shared they become public content and therefore are viewed by millions and millions on the Internet.

However, I question the placement of the “tip”; I personally would have written it to be included in the description allowed by Triond; this would come up as a bold text “warning” and not as part of your poetry.

As a writer I have too had my ideas stolen by others, I understand your annoyance; it really is pathetic of anyone to plagiarize the content or unique ideas of others who work hard for their livelihood. I recently had such happen; articles, ideas, words, behavior all copied as I was stalked from social network to network/blog to blog. I have no respect for those who cannot create their own unique ideas and think as an individual. To steal, as a writer or human, is the lowest of lows.

    Correction of Error:

That should read ideas that you do want to remain private should never be publicly shared..

Sorry quick typist without a edit feature in the comments; didn’t want to give the persona that I do not catch my own made mistakes.

Sorry for the double post. Keep writing, your content is very interesting and entertaining I must admit.

Thank you for the comments amanda I appreciate them and value them more then you will ever really know LOL It shows your keen interest and keen watching on what I post.

I find though that when someone is claiming to have stolen pieces of writing, they would not let them know how interesting the writing is, or give them thumbs up in the forums and on other locations that it is good,

thanks so much for these messages, it was we were looking for!

and always make sure you have plenty of proof of stolen material, I never claimed she stole it, I am claiming she is desparate to look like she knew about something before I did, and did not want me to take her thunder, I never said she stole my writing,

you see when you claim theft, they will check the computer, internet and paper trails, and if it is paper that was taken, they can and will prove of location, trip travels and the such, all things can be located by a search of the computer, nothing can be hidden nowadays, good thing too!

she hovers on my digg, and then sees my diggs, applies for the jobs I digg, and then discusses the diggs I do,

I have another writing job option coming up, and man this one is staying zipped, dont need that to happen again of emails sent to possible employers..

Thank you for the positive words, I am glad that my comment could assist in your poetry endeavors; however I am really not sure how to respond to the “laughing out loud” that came after that, I’m a bit confused.

I’m afraid that I cannot take credit for keeping a close keen eye on what you post as an author; I’m sorry. As a social media journalist I have a keen eye for technology and an interest in poetry/prose as a writer; I have both Authspot and WebUpon fed into my Google Reader, with many more, thus I get updates in relation to new posts. I also get updates directly to my electronic mailing database when the comments I leave are responded to, which is how I knew you had responded. Technology is changing at a rapid rate, the ease of access is so wonderful for a avid technology junkie such as myself. Again, I cannot take a “keen eye” credit but only a feed credit.

The title of this poem is watch caught my eye, I usually determine my views by titles and not by author. It’s an interesting title.

I’m sorry, in regards to material that was stolen I was telling MY personal experience; again as a writer I have had my content, ideas, behavior, and so much stolen. However, you pick yourself up and you go on; I am terminally ill and live my life with positivity and not that of negativity — life is far to short. Again, I’m not knowledgeable on your experience thus can’t comment on it. I hope that you can recover and I see that you have learned to keep private ideas private; the internet is a strange place.

As for proof, I agree; one should have accurate proof to back up claims. For over a decade I have used the Internet and know how to factually back up proper proof, screen shots are just one area I suggest. In my case it was severe, so it required getting officials involved who viewed the vile behavior in real time, if you have a extensive case I recommend this but if only you make a mistake this would not work.

Technology, will lead to many unique viewpoints so it cannot be thought of a stealing; if another was to write on a topic you mentioned; I have even wrote on Flock for international media. Sorry so long winded but wanted to address your nice and kind attitude. I am looking to create an established network of friends and with your invitation, I thank you, allowing this comment. I usually do no follow up on comments but appreciate your kindness.

hmm but you are keen though mam, you comment on every article without ceasing, that shows a keeness in viewing and commenting on my materials,

I know I have proof enough for the officials I am dealing with for sure.

I have a very strong case, because I do not hover on any given page which is proved with computer checking, no amount of erasing can be done,

which means any articles, anything I have viewed, will be seen by the officials, ANYTHING, any other article or something I have read.

  • dawngordon on Oct 25, 2009

nor do I comment severely on anyones articles or pages or profiles so this is good on my behalf for sure, I do not leave messages on others personal pages often, and that can also be quite proven

  • dawngordon on Oct 25, 2009

you will never see me comment on that flock article, the one I am speaking of, I know my limits as some do not

  • dawngordon on Oct 25, 2009

you better make sure you can proof your problem that the person is leaving you messages repeatedly on your personal articles and such, without that you will not get very far, and tracing contact of emails and who sent it first etc..that is also relevant to search
