We must protect our heart from the pain that can be inflicted by others. Sometimes we must draw our feelings back in order to look outside the situation and see things more clearer.

There comes a time

when we must step back

and let what will be – be.

This is the key

to getting through

a hard time.

The only right thing to do.

It isn’t easy to let go.

There may be times of feeling low,

like you don’t matter.

This is a necessary move

to completely separate

from the situation in order to smooth

the severed ends of the heart.

Being completely out of

the situation helps to see

things more clearer

and keeps the heart

at a stand-still,

instead of growing nearer.

We have to protect ourselves

from the pain that tears

us up inside,

so as not to allow

ourselves to feel,

and thus, go away and hide.

Feelings must go into hibernation

until there is a good vibration

showing that it’s clear to come out

and deal again.

When things are much safer

the heart can start up

and begin again.

DB…I have already voted that I Like It…That is a great suggestion to put feelings into hibernation…very philosophical and ingenius. Feelings can be re-awakened when things appear more settled at which time the old feelings mixed with some new feelings can be re-assessed to provide a clearer picture. This sounds like it might have been a difficult write…not emotionally, but just to work everything in altogether…great job. Thanks.
