The poem speaks of a cat whose nature has being identified closely by its owner. The description given in the poem below helps the reader create pictorial images of this “vicious”and “playful” feline mentioned in all stanzas in order to enjoy reading the poem.
Unusual as a warm snowy mountain,
And cool as the hot desert sun,
She prowls and pries,
She purrs and chides,
My little furry dear one
Her presence creates an essence,
Like vinegar tossed in Lemon tea,
As slow as the speed of a Ferrari,
Bittersweet, tainted and meek,
The strength of her nature is to me
The stripes on her skin simply show,
The creation of a Goddess by the Pharaoh,
The neighbourhood lads gawp at her amazed,
‘A beauty in the making they say’,
She’s a heart-breaker when she walks that way
She’s a heart-breaker when she walks that way,
She’s a heart soother when she sleeps that way,
Cosy and cuddly,
Vicious and Bubbly,
She’s a mean ‘girl’ when she hunts that way.
Her love is like a cushion,
Fluffy as a muffin,
Crispy as the taste of Tiffin,
She’s a onetime treat and delight,
A trial and you feel that she’s simply ‘So right’.
