I became something today I never
Thought would happen to me.
I can no longer vote.
I can no longer own firearms.
I can no longer bear firearms.
I can no longer hunt during
Gun season.
These are American Rights
I have always held very dear
And took very seriously.
What did I become today?
I became a felon.
All my rights as an American have
Been stripped from me.
In the eyes of society I am the scum
Of the earth.
No employer wants to hire a felon.
It doesn’t matter if I was forced into this
Or if somebody made it look like I did wrong
And put me here.
Society does not care why, you’re just here.
