Walking away from a late finishing music festival feeling a mix of emotions – happy, very happy yet tinged with pain from the losses of recent times.
So, I wrote this song.

There’s a song on the breeze
Talks of fun
In the sun
for everyone
Life of ease

There’s a song on the wind
Talks of grief
Underneath
Silent thief
Deep within

Now there’s a song with the rhythm of the driving rain
With unending fear and everlasting pain
Guitars screeching, hands reaching
Endless animated preaching
With no sweet refrain

There’s a song in the night
Talks of peace
All will cease
Then release
From the fight

Also
Summer nights

Summer daze
