Here is a poem about an ice skater. It is a portrait style poem.

Illuminated silhouette

Sparkles in the lights;

Standing in the center

Of your canvas of ice.

Statue-like posture

You look out at the crowds

With that twinkle in your eye,

You begin with a bow.

Your skates gently slice

The milky canvas below

As if it were a brush;

Create a painting for the crowd.

You’re the envy of competitors

Who they all wish would fail.

You show off your moves

As you twirl and swirl around.

The music comes to an end,

As the crowd erupts with applause.
