Fire From Heaven

With the eruption of a volcano spewing skywards, I felt as though I was swept up in love by fire that came from heaven.

Your love struck me

Like it was fire from heaven

It seems to spew forth

Glorious embers

That I didn’t know what to believe

It engrossed me

Like a volcano

On a mountain top

Displaying its brilliance

But it felt like

A thunder bolt

With accompanying flames

- – -

Oh! I just imagine

How I was swept away

And swallowed up

By such passion

- – -

But what could I do

When these flames

Gradually cease

Will I return to my cocoon

And pine away

Like I did before

Or keep hoping
