As the years increase our lifeforce decrease.

Yes, the fire has gone out

And no one is home

We need not cry or shout

Because the evening has come

As the fall enter our life

And the winter is fast approaching

All the leaves have fallen

While we move on to the next morning

Hopefully love ones are at our side

The life we now live is behind us

It’s the path we have taken no need for regrets

With love and care in good health we trust

Now short term memory is not our friend

The faces once dear moved on

As the time of our life comes to an end

Now that the fire has gone.

You wrote this poem at an interesting angle, one that was both good and original. I liked it.
