Fireflies

Follow the example of fireflies
Blink on into the endless night
No certain destination planned
Only enjoying the sensation of flight.

Lonely, but still ever hopeful
Blending in among the stars
Going along with the magic
Always knowing who they are.

No pixie dust or wizard’s spells
Just floating on the air
A life so beautiful and serene
But so few people know it’s there.

Reassurance comes back then
Realization comes with every blink
All are connected in the dark
Just take the time to stop and think.
