The lyric poem you are about to read celebrates the memory of the first touch–best suited for wedding anniversaries. This is specially dedicated to Maude and Petpet.

“First, the Touch”

First, your fingertips playing violin to my hairtips;

Then, the playful slide of your tender lips,

Turning each lingering touch into a separate seduction,

Teaching the untutored heart to dream and burn.

Then heart answering heart was sealed with a kiss,

Followed by the soft urgent caress;

With your angel touch you silenced the riot in my heart to rest,

But, weren’t you still a daring beast?

You forced open a well-guarded closet of desire

And set my body and soul in elysian fire;

Then you plucked the ungathered roses of my virgin zone

And whispered the music of you and me alone.

No dearer region  than that which you explored and touched,

I did little but got too much;

God, how I wanted all, I wanted more–

I wanted all of you forevermore.###
