Poem.
Fish are being taken from their habitats to be in your fish tank at home
So spare a thought when you buy
From vast rivers to a small space where they have no place to roam
If conditions are right they may have small fry.
They might look nice to look at through the glass
But these are creatures taken from the wild
You may have a fish tank at school in your class
But where the fish came from isn’t taught to your child.
Forever emptying our seas out
That was once full of riches
Then you moan when there’s nothing about
As fish end up in fish tanks or on our dinner dishes.
Wildlife becomes a threat to you
Because fish is their main diet
They have to eat too
But no, this is not allowed and there’s a riot.
Bears, birds, fish, seals, whales, man and shark
Most of which depend on seafood everywhere
The future of our oceans look bleak and dark
While people selfishly really don’t care.
