A daft ditty inspired by my Saturday night chippie tea.

Fish’n’chips, fish’n’chips,

Maks ye fairly smack yer lips,

Dis fish’n’chips.

Mealy pud, mealy pud,

Nithin’s even half sae good,

As mealy pud.

A ticky salt an’ loads o’ sauce,

Then in a paper baggie toss,

Ye dinnae like? Weel that’s yer loss,

Leaves mair fer me,

‘Cos I can eat enough fer twa,

Jist ye see!

Go to Cleethorpes and enjoy ours. Big haddocks with real skin left on. I could write an article on this! You’ve got me started Bruce (was gonna type BO but better not lol). Haddock in Clee, Leeds, Bridlington. orrible cod in South Yorkshire, Lancashire…… Clever poem, while I think on.
