She snapped,

just like that,

mind trapped,

eyes flat,

her life utterly useless,

she wanted no more,

her child dead on the floor,

there was no reason for it,

her thoughts would spit

profanities,

so she turned away,

she just couldn’t stay,

it was such a dark day,

and those awful tricks her mind would play,

her life fizzled into nothingness,

emptiness ripped through,

and there was nothing else she could do.
