A great poem that lies between heartbreaking and cheerful. The poem takes place on 4th of July and talks about the depressing and moving things that 4th of July is really all about. It starts off with fireworks exploding in the air and then leaves you at a heartbreaking twist. It goes on to say the twists and turns life takes you and leaves you at a shocking turn, that will make you think of 4th of July differently!

The boom and the wows
The fireworks rumble
The flag sways softly
And it does not crumble
The colors in air
All through the night
The stars twinkle softly
They stand alone bright
The wars that they travel
Their bare feet in gravel
They get stronger and stronger
And then they are there much longer
We pray for him
We pray for her
And when we look back
Somethings occur
A twinkle of a star
A trigger held tight
The things we think about
On flag night
