FLAME AND FIRE

A flash, the fire suddenly caught my eye,

And in turn caused a tear to fall from the sky,

But the question is why? So much pain and torture

Caused by the flame, but who will be burdened with

The blame? The fire burns deep and rages on, sometimes

Keeping me up until the break of dawn. Captivated

Nontheless, in certain circumstances it can make you feel

Somewhat blessed. The warmth, the sense of protection, it offers

A chance to sit back in reflection. Time comes and goes, but with

The flame you always know, it has nowhere to go, except to continue

Burning, all the while you feel a sense of yearning. What is it about the

Fire that brings forth all that I desire?
