This poem is about the eternally indandescent flame of love that glows from the beginning of saga of lie till death and beyond…
The incandescent flame glowing on the pedestal of love
It may flicker at times of woe but is never extinguished
Iridiscent glow on the countenance of existence
The glow of the shades of sensuality, blaze of passion
The flame with rays of gentle tenderness and caring
Of unconditional affection and devotion
Of mute smiling sacrfices and undying trust
Like a candle aglow on the church altar
Its pure sublime flame akin to St. Elmo’s fire
Is the guiding beacon in the lovers’ life
It comes aglow when love exits the cocoon of oblivion
To twinkle in the gaze, linger the touch
To dance in divine smiles of ecstasy
And to run in the frenzy of every pulses’ rhythm
As wrinkles weave reticulate patterns on skin
And the hair is shaded with silver frost of age
The passion of youth is reined but
The vein of love still runs deep
With caring gestures and unending devotion
The mellowed but radiant flame flares with love
In all its moods this flame glows on pedestal of love
And its radiance brightens the soul and life
A blessing of the heavens never to be blown
When flame of love dies, life ceases to exist
For the person breathes as a living corpse
The flame of true love can turn hatred to adoration
Indifference to adulation, frigidity to passion
And still burns strong within the spirit
When the souls depart from earthly abode…
