Flames

Please take this fire away from me………….

Please take this fire away from me
With it I don’t know what to do
You are what I want and what I need
And I burn with love for you

This heart of mine cries out to me
Move back from the flame
Yet I move even closer
And have only self to blame

I have tried to stop this need inside
By throwing sand upon the fire
This inside it will not die
The flames they just burn higher
