I cry and cry and
Sit and watch,
Some of my friends
Do things that might
Lead their lives to an end.
Taking drugs, drinking away,
Skipping school day after day,
Disrespecting their parents,
Staying out late.
Family giving up on them,
Asking older people out on dates.
Stealing from stores, having babies.
Just makes the world want to go crazy.
And they won’t understand until someone dies.
But I realize you really can’t blame them
Because it’s just life flashing before their eyes.
