Alone and confined,
In a cage I sit, yearning to fly,
Not yet broken, not yet to fate resigned,
Not yet succumbed, not yet shall my spirit die.

I will fight those who oppress me,
I shall carve my destiny.
No longer shall I bend before thee.
I will fight until the last thread of sanity snaps before me.

Or so I say, and have been saying,
Can the bonds really be broken?
Will my flight not be perceived as betraying?
To a traitor they will liken

But no matter I will fly.
