A poem.

A thousand fractured half-guessed hopes, dripping from my ears

Until this shattered will collapses, faint and irretrievable

You’ll never find your way back home; you’ll never find your way back here

I never would have guessed it would become so unbelievable

No different from what has already come to pass, the flightless sparrow

That comfortingly becomes my flesh and blood, my sinew and my marrow
