Sometimes the darkness can overwhelm…

There are times in my life
Where sorrow consumes me
Cutting me life a knife
Leaving my heart to bleed

I struggle to go on
My demons taunting me
Stripping me till I’m gone
Until I am no more

I scream out loud, crying
Wanting someone to hear
My soul slowly dying
As if I wasn’t here

I am like a lost ghost
Looking for my savior
Needing a loving host
Someone to rescue me

But there is a flower
That blooms in the darkness
Hidden in a tower
Of promises renewed

It is a hope realized
In a life full of strife
And a faith idealized
Waiting to be set free

A very deep and emotional poem. I love the feeling of hope that the flower brings. Good work.

What a beautiful flower blooming somewhere maybe where you don’t expect it.

Another great work, just be patient, there’s plenty of hope. Although I wrote life is unfair, just believe fair enough and it is yours.
