Flowers on My Tombstone

Why won’t you bring me flowers?

they bring me happiness

you think they will die anyway

and it’s just money waste.

If one day I must soon depart

by leaving you alone

don’t bring me flowers to my tomb

I’m dead and surely gone.

To haunt your dreams I do not care

but I must let you know

about the thing you care,

the flowers are all dead

and money is a waste.

It’s true…sometimes we wait too long to give “flowers” to the ones we love.

Flowers are for the living. Sometimes we forget. Then it’s too late.

Flowers are beautiful to see. The cost does not matter. Nice work.

This is a good sentiment. Family flowers to a minimum and ask for donations to charity instead.

We sometimes think of the little things that matter when it is too late.

I agree, do all you can for the living. Flowers for the dead are just empty gestures.

    I got the message.

If you think about it, just giving flowers as a kind respect to our loved ones is NOT a waste of money. It is an act for a greater cause and out of respect.
