A Gift From A Loved One.

I’ve brought you some flowers my dear

Freshly picked from the garden

So beautiful at this time of year.

Fruit of our labours from many passed hours

Some yours, or mine, but all of them ours.

Red and yellow roses candyfloss astilbe or two

And big blowsy dahlias of every hue

Of course your favourites the sweet smelling pea

Such perfume and colours, Oh! I wish you could see.

The vegetables are almost ready to eat

Wish you could try them, home grown so sweet.

Fruit is all ripening almost ready to pick

Weeding is harder now since you took sick.

I’ll just leave them here for you, so they’re in sight

Be back tomorrow to see that you’re right

Got to go now love, always jobs to be done

Trying to enjoy my days left in the sun

I feel you are with me in whatever I do

But I still long for the day, when I come to join you.

Aww..very refreshing Oldster..this is what I like to call companionate love and ‘cultivating’ a garden with your partner is much like managing and sustaining a healthy positive relationship.. love, care and patience is all that’s needed.
