How do you shut off a voice in your head?
A voice that keeps talking about you being dead,
That wishes and wants and never gives up,
That’s never quite full or empty enough,
To leave you satisfied or even ok,
That talks from the evening till eve the next day,
And finally when you think you can’t take any more,
It grabs the noose and tightens it and drops the wooden floor,
And suddenly you’re hanging by its invisible thread,
Oh someone please shut off this voice in my head.
