Font installation made simple.
How to install fonts?
It might surprise you that so many people(secretary, graphics or web designer, normal individual using Ms Office or just for the sight of it on the pc) would love to install new favorite fonts in their pc or laptop, but they just get stuck right there. So in view of this, i have written this simple methods. I hope it helps someone…LOL!
Download your choice font. There so many resources. I recommend www.searchfreefonts.com. Here you have two font categories…a. FREE, b. COMMERCIAL. You pay for commercial before you can download. Free is free!
Unpack the font file using compression softwares. WINZIP, WINRAR…I recommend 7zip(It is free and powerful). Since most font files are in .ZIP extension you might simply use the Windows option described as we proceed.
You can do this by clicking the “Download” button and saving the font zip file somewhere on your hardrive.
Unpack the font file by double clicking it or right clicking.
Recent versions of Windows can unpack zip file archives and self-extracting zip files when you right click on the file, and select “Extract All”. Then click Next, select the place you want to extract files, click Next and click Finish.
Otherwise, if you are using WinRAR, WinZip, 7zip or any other utility to unpack these files. To extract zip file right click or double click on the file, then click Extract and select the place where you want to extract the font files.
