WISE MEN SAY, ONLY FOOLS RUSH IN.

Why do I love you?
Even if you hurt me so!
Why do I still cling to someone like you?
Who doesn’t love me too.

I am a piece of nothing,
Holding a piece of something
Something that makes me glad,
And that is loving you mad.

They say that I should stop,
Fooling my self is bad
Sticking on you is wrong,
And this shouldn’t last long.

Don’t they know?
How I love you so
If it hurts to love you
It hurts more to lose you

You make me smile for a while
Makes my day worthwhile
A feeling I haven’t felt before,
And that’s what I’m longing for.

Good one. When a woman makes a man suffer and causes him pain, his love for her grows more each day. I have seen this happen a lot. It amazes me, which is why I have been studying both the male and female mind these past years.

We always love the one that hurts us the most…

I’m going to take a different stance on this. I’ve always believed the only people worth crying over will never give you reason to.

Love is sometimes rough. Nice write.

I disagree with Sunshine above. If a man clings to a woman even though she continually hurts him, it is not that he loves her more, it generally is a sign of insecurity or possesion.

Wasn’t it Rod Mckuen who wrote “Love hurts when it should tingle and leaves long scars instead of deep impressions.” tainted idea maybe, but sometimes love is good and sometimes not so good. The not so good never lasts.

Beautiful, I have been there too. clinging on someone who don’t reciprocate my feelings. I may suggest , Let her go, over at the horizon, there’s a better someone who will give you joy and happeness and at the same time Love you.

An ironic title! I like it. Instead of “falling” you changed it to “fooling.”

    Interesting and nice poem! Thanks.
