This poem gives praise to a mother and her many qualities.

Mom, you’re alive in us

Embedded in our minds is a bounty of your experiences

Pleasant, tender, and reassuring

You are self-sacrificing

Living your life for us

We will always be close to you

Comforter is your trademark

You share with us your many blessings

Of your good life and contentment

You always seek justice and peace

Living in simplicity

Walking through paths that are at times rough

And doing those things with a smile on your face

Means that you are a mother that is bigger than life

We often ponder with keen interest

The sensitivity of your relationship with us

While you interact with other relatives and friends

You’re a magnificent mother

You always move triumphantly along

Refusing to take much praise yourself

Undoubtedly, you’re one of the world’s favorite moms

That lives as fully as you can

You’re a symbol of all that’s good

And gives us much to emulate
