Written for a close friend who left her small baby to join the Air Force to make a better life for them both.

Away you flew on that big jet plane,
leaving behind those you love and in pain.
Yes you are doing what is right,
you will see when coming home is in sight.
What you will learn while your away,
never again will you yearn I pray.
Yes I know you miss your baby,
her smell, her smile, her beautiful eyes,
and the softness of her skin.
that is normal with a mothers love
you cry but you will win.
this is for her remember, not to go back to where you been.
I am proud of you, for what you do,
It takes courage and hope with each clue.
Everything will fall into place,
I promise you after you finish this race.
Be safe my friend and never look back,
you are where you are from courage you don’t lack.
Although you feel alone in that foreign place,
My heart and thoughts are with you with grace.

I give my prayers to your friend, linda. I give my prayers to her daughter. When her daughter grows up she will come to know what a courageous and beautiful mother she has. God bless her for taking control for her country!

WOW! I cant wait for Jodl to get this poem and I wish to see her face reading this! Shes a wonderful mother and is doing the greatest thing for her and her daughter! I wish her best of life and soon she will be with the baby ande be able to smile and tell her she did it just for her! She will always be proud of Jodl! We all miss you and we know you have all the courage and its been your dream! We love you JODL! hugs and kisses!
