A poem about depression, and pain, and hope.

An empty heart is fading
Lost in colors that are shading
Running off into the distance, to a place unknown
Walk side by side with someone whose heart is fully grown

They’ll teach you how to become whole
They’ll help to bring colour back to your soul
Day by day will pass with more ease
One day the pain will finally cease

Once you bled with such disgrace
Couldn’t help but let the tears fall down your face
Crimson release pouring from your veins
Everyday was the same, feeling the same pain

Time moved on and somehow you got better
Or so you thought
You took the pain away when you burned every letter
You let go and just forgot

Breathing became easy again
In the distance you saw a good friend
They were there and they were waiting
Just in case you needed resuscitating

An empty heart started to feel
Broken shadows on the wall started to disappear
The wounds started to slowly heal
and for once it all became real

I read your words with mixed emotions. You expressed your thoughts well as you always do. Healing be with you more than pain.

Expect drama–never create drama and certainy do not turn it into trauma–if you know what I mean!
