For such a one as I He came,

When I was lost in sin

And caring not to own His Name,

He put such love within!

For such a one as you He came,

For such a one as I.

And caring not for wealth or fame,

He left it all on high!

For such a world of men He came,

Though they would not receive.

He left His splendour just the same.

To save those who’d believe!

“For God so loved the world He gave”

Included you and me.

All of the lost world may be saved,

Who’d go by Calvary!

As Esther in the days of old,

Was met with favour’s kiss,

So may we stand for Christ, so bold,

For such a time as this!
