A poem about not always doing the right thing, but still caring about the person you are with.
I know sometimes I’m moody,
And the right words I don’t say,
I get angry or mean,
I seem to push you away,
When my self-esteem,
Seems to plummet back down,
You try to lift me up,
Yet all I do is frown,
But I will now attempt,
To explain the truth of it all,
(I’ll tell you the best I can,
Lest the truth somehow fall)
When I am moody,
I just want you to care,
When my words come out wrong,
Let my love set me square,
And when I’m angry or mean,
Tell me how bad you feel,
When I push you away,
Help me learn to heal,
When I start to be insecure,
Just hold me for a while,
And whenever I frown,
Just show me your smile,
Honey, I love you,
More than my words can say,
I just hope that with me,
Forever you will stay.
