All about mortality and the desire to continue in other’s memories.

It shook me, it shook my world,
when I found out my life
was only a blink in the eyes of
eternity.

My ignorance redly showing
blatantly through infinite holes
within the cracked armour of
youth.

The stars are not mine and
the world is less in my control
as increases the greatness of my
insignificance.

That I should influence someone or
something is desire born of pride but
should I leave better than I found is
divine.

I ask you not for myself, anymore,
if the blink could become a stare,
as I know I’ll cease to be, kindly
forget me not.
