A haiku—and it is more than a haiku. It’s my voice, my stand on the debatable issue of what a haiku is.

Having mastered the rules from A to Z,

I wrote many haiku—

which now strike me

as boring.

    You have found your voice; that’s the most important in any creative activity. Have fun, sticking to 5-7-5, three lines, or seasonal reference rule is boring if not annoying bec. you know them already. Bravo!

    From time to time I read such comments like “Is this a haiku?” Those who are well-read about haiku should not ask such silly questions. This is a very powerful assertion of your voice!
