A poem about putting the past behind you, and wanting a better future.

With stars above and moonlit sky I can only think of you
The times we’ve shared,
How much you’ve cared,
And what I put you through.
For in the worst of my days your door never closed,
So that at night,
If your not in sight,
Still in peace my eye lids close.
Many times I’ve failed you, yet I know that you still care,
When I’m sad,
And I’ve made you mad,
I can still find you waiting there.
You might hear me say that I can live with out you,
It’s such a lie,
you can see in my eyes,
my life would be blue with out you.
For I don’t know what I would do if we were set apart,
All your patience,
And you – the essence,
Always abides with in my heart.
Today I ask for your forgiveness, I’m sorry for all I’ve done,
I want to live my life,
Now as your wife,
Together with our two sons.
No regrets, no flashbacks of bad times and heartaches,
I want to be true,
The woman you never knew,
And giving what ever it takes.
