Forgiveness

They may say I have a problem
That I’m the one to fix
But I’ve got a solid heart
Unbroken by the bricks

You can’t keep me down
No matter how hard you try
I’ll see right through
& forgive all of your lies

There’s something you don’t know
or just tend to forget
I live this life to be happy
Not this life to regret

So feel free to step aside
And give up the act
My smile will not fade
This I know for fact

I see too much inside
Whether my eyes are closed or not
There’s greatness in your soul
So go on and give it a shot

 I dare you to leap
The first step is the fear
But from then on it’s easier
& your mind will be clear
