Fountain of youth, forever young, humor.

Ah!

If there was a fountain of youth

I would plunged right in

Like an amateur diver

Sit and bathe leisurely

Like a beautiful swan in a deserted pond

And then,

Revolutionize

To glorify once again

Beauty

Strength

Freedom

And even wisdom

Me, vain?

Certainly not I!

Why is it wrong my dear friend?

To stay forever young

To be careless and free

To dance the night away

Without the aches and pain the next day

Yes!

I dream of a fountain of youth

I would even settle

When my time comes (soon enough)

For a fountain of middle age

It might be nice to be young again – but then I think about all the stupid things I did.

Oh Yes 8Shei8, to be young again is a thought that most have from time to time. I wonder if we would make the same mistakes all over again. It would be so awesome to meet my very first true love as its been so long as our young lives seperated when I joined the service and received a dear john letter. I would rather not re-live that part as it was extremely painful. Thank You for sharing your playful poem and causing us all to reflect upon our younger years. I really enjoyed this Brillent Poem…

    nice poem/pic…
it’s so nice to be young always, but the people around us will look older and older as they did not plunged into that special fountain like we did earlier, the best is all plung together, and be young together and that will be fun…hee hee.

  • bailieman on Jan 30, 2010

There are joys to getting older, one of them is being allowed to say whatever is on your mind. People excuse you because they think you are doddery.

  • deep blue on Feb 6, 2010

Don’t settle for anything less. I believe life itself is a fountain of eternity and we just don our personality like we dress up on different clothes everyday. You don’t want to be on the same clothes for a long time don’t you, kabayan? Certainly we have to bathe and dress anew.
