A poem about four people and one morning.
If no one is sleeping
Why then should I sleep
My mind cannot rest
No more slumbering deep
One was awakened by people in need
Two woke up to deep breathe
Three spent the previous day sleeping and was all slept out
Four had to deal with kids and doubt
One day they will dine
Or maybe they won’t
Three can’t keep promises
Four is obligated out
Two wouldn’t know in what direction to look
One will expect perfection after all of the hassle it took
Four people awake
Pondering things
Aging, missed opportunities, their body, realistic dreams
Hearing the rain
Longing for much
More complications abound
Each day our lives touch
